Biography

Demon Queen (Wendy De Laet) began DJing in 1997 at just 17, quickly rising from DJing at Area 51 to resident DJ at Fauna, one of Belgium’s most notorious Hardcore clubs (1998–2000).

Her first collab record dropped in 2001, and by 2004 she was 50% of the COREporation project on Placid K’s Choose or Lose label, working alongside Tieum, Peaky Pounder, etc. At the same time she played a key role in shaping Belgium’s Hardcore movement, contributing to the organisation of both Club Hardcore and its sister event Project: Hardcore.

What sets Demon Queen apart is her unique blend of mixing and live mashup vocals, a unique concept in the Hardcore scene. True to her craft, she remains loyal to vinyl, with her record selection defining a signature style deeply connected to Early Rave, Darkcore, and Hardcore.

Her career has spanned iconic Belgian venues like Kozzmozz, Hardcore Overdrive, La Bush, and Club X, as well as international stages in Italy (ECU, Extreme Gheodrome), New York City (Downtime), and across the Netherlands, Germany, and France.

In 2015, refusing to surrender to the rise of digital DJing and the sync button, she bowed out with an epic farewell at Harmony of Hardcore. But the story isn’t over—Demon Queen is back, answering the call of the wheels of steel once again with live online vinyl mixes coming your way soon!
